Are we seeing an increase in bean-to-cup machine purchases? If not I wonder why. The machines are more expensive I guess, but you generally will get better tasting coffee without the pod waste.
I think the price gap between them is just too big. A good bean-to-cup machine is pretty expensive, whereas you can get a Keurig for like $60. Plus I also think most people don't really think/care about the waste involved in pod machines.
What about commercial entities using bean-to-cup vice pod? Like bars or venues or restaurants. Does it seem that they are still preferring pod over b-t-c?
Sorry missed your follow up! I do think that bean-to-cup is becoming more popular with places like bars etc, although this is anecdotal (based on my observations at my former employer). B-t-c machines tend to make substantially better coffee than pod machines, and become even more attractive if any kind of volume is a consideration.

Also, I saw this article in the week that I thought you might be interested in: https://coffeegeek.com/blog/beginners/bean-to-cup-machines-nespresso-killers/
Haha nespresso killers! I like it 👏🏼
Thanks for sending, super interesting for sure. I could see bars/venues investing in b-t-c with the increase in folks looking for NA options
