Moral Panic! at Coava Coffee

The Specialty Coffee Association thinks cuppers should be known for more than simply tasting coffee. Meanwhile, Coava Coffee shutters its downtown Portland location, blaming crime and violence in rhetoric reminiscent of Starbucks. Workers at the cafe (most of whom stand to lose their jobs) think it has more to do with lack of profitability.
